Leading the exhibition, preservation, and curation of modern and contemporary Egyptian fine art across our flagship spaces in Zamalek and New Cairo.
Picasso Art Gallery was founded in 1996 in Zamalek by Ibrahim Mohamed Abdel Rahman, originating from a renowned fine art frame atelier established in 1971. The gallery was named with the blessing of the pioneering Egyptian master artist Hussein Bicar, who envisioned the space as an enduring sanctuary for Arab visual culture.
Over the past three decades, the gallery has curated hundreds of seminal retrospectives, representing twentieth-century titans including Adam Henein, Abdel Hady El-Gazzar, Gazbia Sirry, Inji Efflatoun, and Hamed Nada, while introducing Egypt's leading contemporary voices to global biennials and museum collections.
